Complaints and Discipline Publication Policy

CDSBC’s publication requirements and policies are detailed in the Complaints and Discipline Publication Policy (PDF).

CDSBC publishes the outcomes of its complaint and discipline processes. Generally, the publication is anonymous; however, in some cases, the Health Professions Act (HPA) requires that CDSBC publish named information about its registrants.

A publication naming a registrant is made when a complaint is a serious matter (as defined in section 39.3 of the HPA) and/or goes to the discipline committee. In all cases, the individual who made the complaint will be notified of the outcome.

Note: CDSBC will withhold information when a registrant has an ailment or addiction and their privacy outweighs the public interest, or where the complainant could be publicly identified.
