Renew Your Registration/Certification by 1 March

The deadline to renew your registration or certification is just days away. Log in to your account on the online system to complete your renewal and make your payment.

If you do not renew on time, you are not permitted to practise until you have reinstated, and an additional reinstatement fee will apply.

Prescribing and Dispensing Drugs Standard and Guideline

The old policy statement on prescribing and dispensing drugs has been updated and is now part of the standards and guideline series. This document clearly identifies the requirements for prescribing and dispensing drugs by dentists. A full list of changes from the previous policy is available at cdsbc.org/prescribing-and-dispensing-drugs.

Listening Sessions in Nanaimo and Nelson

Want to have your say on important topics like enhancements to the Quality Assurance Program or the business of dentistry and corporate structures?

Join us at an upcoming listening session to share your input for consideration by the College as it develops policy.

Listening sessions are free, but pre-registration is required. Please note that these sessions are not eligible for CE.

Close of Nominations for the Board Election is 16 March

Nominations will be accepted until 4:30 pm on 16 March 2017 for the following positions:

Officers (One Year)

  • President, Vice-President and Treasurer

Board Members (Two-Year Term)

  • Dentist, District 2 (North)
  • Dentist, District 3 (Southern Interior)
  • Dentist, District 5 (Vancouver Island)
  • Certified Dental Assistant

Ballots will be mailed by 13 April and the ballot count is 18 May 2017. For more information and the nomination package, click the link below.

Each year CDSBC recognizes volunteers who have made significant contributions to the College and the dental profession. You are invited to join us in honouring this year’s award recipients at a reception and ceremony on Thursday, 9 March 2017 at 6 pm at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel (Mackenzie Room).
