Starting 1 March 2018, submissions and complaints of non-compliance received by the College regarding registrants’ advertising and promotional materials will be dealt with via the complaints process. The revised CDSBC Bylaw Part 12 that came into effect on 27 November 2017 provides the standard against which complaints will be assessed by the Inquiry Committee. Please review all of your advertising and promotional material in advance of 1 March to ensure that it complies with the requirements set out in Bylaw Part 12. Further guidance to assist in compliance with the revised bylaw will be provided in the coming months.

The board has approved the annual renewal fees, and the College’s budget includes a modest fee increase of $50 for all practising dentists, except those holding limited or temporary registration. There is also a fee increase of $15 for practising CDAs. Registrants will receive a renewal notice in the mail in the second week of January.

The deadline to complete your annual renewal and submit your fees is 1 March 2018. If you do not renew by 1 March you are not permitted to practise until you have reinstated, and an additional reinstatement fee will apply.
Note: Dentists or CDAs who plan to retire effective 1 March 2018 must do so through the online renewal process by choosing the ‘Retired/Resigned’ option. Dentists who want their retirement to be effective prior to 1 March 2018, can complete the Retirement/Registration form and submit to CDSBC.
