CDSBC has posted amendments to Part 2 of the bylaws dealing with election and succession of executive board officers, eligibility requirements, and associated consequential changes to definitions and numbering. The consultation period is open until 20 March 2016.
A succession model for the roles of treasurer, vice-president and president will ensure that the leadership of the CDSBC Board benefits from continuity, stability, and experience. This approach is consistent with modern principles of effective governance, and is becoming increasingly common among organizations with elected boards.
At the close of the consultation period, the Board will review and consider all feedback. If approved, the amendments will be filed with the Ministry of Health. More information about the consultation and instructions for submitting feedback are available at the link below.

The College received very few
responses to our proposal to phase out the fax as a regular form of
communications. Going forward, registrants and the public will be able to send
correspondence electronically or by mail. However, there will be a backup fax line
available for critical documents that require the use of fax.
