2022/23 Renewal Fees

December 2021

Registrants will be able to renew their registration with CDSBC using the online system beginning Friday, January 7, 2022. We are sharing this notice of the 2022/23 renewal fees for CDSBC registrants.

A detailed breakdown of fees is available in Schedule E (PDF), which will be incorporated into CDSBC's bylaws.

We are pleased to announce that CDSBC fees will remain the same for most registrants in the 2022/23 fiscal year. Details include:

  • Certified dental assistant and dental therapist fees remain the same as last year.
  • Dentists in most categories*, however, will see a significant decrease (up to $1,800) in the fee paid at renewal in 2022/23, as BC Dental Association (BCDA) fees have been removed from Schedule E. The decision to cease collecting equivalent fees on behalf of the BCDA for the 2022/23 fiscal year was made by the CDSBC Board per CDSBC Bylaw 3.09(4), which directs that CDSBC must not collect funds as an agent for any association as of March 1, 2022.

*In the past, dentists in most categories registered with CDSBC paid equivalent BCDA fees upon renewal. Specifically, dentists in all registration categories except for Limited (education; armed services and government), Limited (post-graduate), Limited (research), Limited (volunteer) and Non-practising, paid fees to both CDSBC and BCDA.
