Mastercard and Visa credit cards are accepted, but Mastercard/Visa debit cards are not. Interac for RBC Royal Bank, TD Bank, First Nations Bank of Canada, Scotiabank, and most BC Credit Unions are accepted.
If you receive an error message while paying, please contact your bank to ensure there are no issues on their end before making another attempt with payment using the same credit card. If the issue is not banking-related, try another payment method or email
registration@cdsbc.org.

[accordion title="I%20just%20had%20my%20criminal%20record%20check%20last%20year%2C%20why%20am%20I%20paying%20a%20fee%20for%20a%20criminal%20record%20check%3F"]There is a five-year mandatory re-check for criminal records. Every year, you are charged a fifth of the criminal record check fee. On the fifth year when your re-check is due, your criminal record check will be automatically resent to the government.[/accordion]

Dental Therapist Renewal

[accordion title="How%20do%20I%20retire%3F%20"]If you are retiring your dental therapist registration, you can select the option “Retired” under Registration Categories in the renewal form.[/accordion]

Note: You cannot practice until you have reinstated.
If your registration has lapsed and you wish to reinstate your registration, please email registration@cdsbc.org. [/accordion]

All registrations expire at the end of February each year, and the deadline to renew is March 1. CDSBC's fiscal year runs from March 1 to February 28 (or 29) of the following year.

Dental Therapist Quality Assurance

To renew, reinstate or transfer to practising registration, you must meet
CDSBC's Quality Assurance requirements including:
- Continuing education (CE) – Dental Therapists must have the minimum of 75 CE credits completed in a three year cycle.
- Continuous Practice hours (CP)- Dental Therapists must have the minimum 900 practice hours in the three preceding calendar years

[accordion title="Why%20is%20the%20status%20of%20my%20CE%20submission%20%E2%80%9CSubmitted%E2%80%9D%3F%20When%20is%20it%20going%20to%20be%20approved%3F%20%20"]If the CE credits you submitted are not selected for audit, your submission status will remain as “Submitted" at the end of the submission day, and the credits will be added to your total CE credits for that cycle.
